What initially began as a blog about ridding my body of pain meds, due to a multitude of chronic illnesses ( Rheumatoid Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis of the Spine~ not to mention depression), all the while practicing Yoga for 365 days, in a row, has now changed.
The above idea was and is noble, for what I knew then was this; If I don’t stop putting this ‘medicine’ into my body, it’s going to kill me, one way or another. Yoga is a journey and one that has both challenged and surprised me. I no longer count how many days I have ‘left’ until March 3, 2013 ( one full year of Yoga ), but on my daily practice and documenting how Yoga continues to heal and show me what I am capable of, inside and outside the studio. Having come from a place of great pain and sadness, to one of hope and marvel, truly inspires me to share my experiences with anyone who is interested in helping themselves to walk away, from that which keeps them down.
